Research

Research that becomes capability.

We work at the edge of artificial intelligence, quantum computing and the life sciences, and turn what we learn into systems our clients can use.

Research areas

Three disciplines, converging.

AI

Applied AI

Trustworthy and explainable AI, agentic systems, retrieval and evaluation, and edge AI that runs fully offline for data sovereignty.

Q

Quantum computing

Quantum algorithms, circuit design and simulation, and the practical migration to post-quantum cryptography.

Bio

Cell biology & genetics

Computational biology, genomic data analysis and AI that helps research teams search, connect and reason over scientific knowledge.

Selected outputs

Recent work.

Quantum algorithms

The Rodeo algorithm

A technical note on the Rodeo algorithm, a quantum method for estimating energy eigenvalues and preparing eigenstates, and where it could matter in practice.

Technical note

Quantum computing

Quantum circuit engine

Translating user input into OpenQASM and executing it on quantum simulators, to make quantum logic tangible.

Research prototype

Edge AI · Sovereignty

Offline retrieval on consumer hardware

Quantised language models, local embeddings and a local vector database delivering fast, private question answering with no connectivity.

Lab project

Work with us

Research engagements.

  • Feasibility studies that answer "can this work, and is it worth it?"
  • Proof-of-concept prototypes on your data
  • Technical literature and landscape reviews
  • Research-grade documentation for grant and R&D programs
  • Collaborations with universities, start-ups and non-profits

FAQ

About research engagements

Anything else? Email contact@sovereignsystemslabs.com.

What does a research engagement look like?

Usually a two-to-six week feasibility study or prototype with a clear question, an agreed method and a written report or working proof of concept at the end.

Who owns the results?

By default, results and code created for you are assigned to you. For collaborations with universities or non-profits we agree publication and IP terms up front.

Can you help with grant and R&D program documentation?

Yes. We produce research-grade technical documentation, experiment records and literature reviews. We do not provide tax or grant advice, so pair our documentation with your adviser.
